COVID-19 safety protocols for the 2nd Annual Maroon Tiger Awards Gala

In honor and respect of our honorees and for the safety and well-being of all guests in attendance, The Morehouse Football Alumni Association will require the following COVID-19 Safety Protocols:

Testing

All guests will be required to present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hrs before the gala or take a rapid test on site prior to entering the gala. There will be a company on-site for all guests who are interested in having an on-site test administered at check-in to test prior to entering the gala. There is a $20 additional cost associated with testing. A negative test, either PCR within 72 hrs or on site rapid, is required to attend our event.

Vaccination

Proof of vaccination will be required at check-in in order to attend our event. All guests should bring a physical vaccination card and/or photo of their vaccination card to present to gala event staff at check-in.

Face coverings

In response to COVID-19, and in alignment with local, state and U.S. Center for Disease Control guidelines, face coverings are required to attend our event. Please keep your face covering on unless you are actively eating or drinking. A “face covering” is defined as a “covering that fully covers a person’s nose and mouth, including without limitation, cloth face mask, surgical mask, towels, scarves and bandanas”. All persons that cannot wear a face covering due to a medical condition or disability, or who are unable to remove a mask without assistance should inform the Gala Committee.

Social distancing

In alignment with CDC guidelines, social distancing is strongly recommended. During general mingling, please maintain social distancing of six (6) feet at all times while you keep your mask on.

Hand washing

Regular hand washing and/or use of hand sanitizer is strongly recommended during the gala to further ensure your safety.

Symptoms and Contact

Any guest testing positive for COVID-19 or exhibiting symptoms regardless of vaccination status should not attend the gala. If you have positive exposure for COVID-19 within 7 days of the event, please do not attend. Sent from my iPhone

 

Please join us to support the Morehouse Football program and to kickoff the upcoming season in what will be a tremendous night and our biggest fundraiser of the year! Our goal this year is to raise $100k to benefit facility upgrades, scholarships for our Maroon Tiger student-athletes, and support other needs of the football program.

There will be great food, drinks, dancing, and a silent auction! We’ll also hear from Head Coach Rich Freeman, pin the team captains, and recognize our preseason All-Conference and All-Americans! All hosted by radio/TV personalities Jarard J & Angel Lashonn!

Blazing Tiger Honoree

The event will be held on Saturday, August 27 at 6:00 PM at the Crown Plaza, 6050 Peachtree Industrial BLVD, Norcross GA 30071. Morehouse Football Alumni Association (MFAA) is a 501(c) (3) organization, sponsorship and donations are tax-deductible and will be accepted through August 1, 2022.
